Sam & Virginia Stricklin


Sam was born in 1944 and has been married to Virginia since 1965. They have five sons, three daughter-in-laws, and ten grandchildren.


Sam trusted Christ as his Savior at the age of seven during a revival meeting at the church he grew up in. Virginia trusted Christ as her Savior at her church at the age of fifteen.

Ministry Training

After earning a B.A. degree with a major in history and minor in political science at Missouri State University, Sam studied at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas.

Church Ministry

Sam served as music/youth director for one year in Texas. Following that, he was the pastor of a church in Oklahoma for six years. For the next thirty years he served as pastor of a church in Rhode Island.

Missions Today

In 2005, the Stricklins began serving in full-time missionary ministry in the Middle East and Northern African countries of Iraq, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Morocco, and Sudan. Their missionary ministry has also taken them to Kurdistan, Pakistan, Ghana, and Liberia. Their burden is reaching the 10/40 Window region, targeting Muslim dominated and Arabic speaking countries. Their primary ministry is training national pastors and helping in the starting of Bible Institutes in churches throughout this region.

Tri-City Baptist Church in Independence, Missouri, is their sending church, and Tri-City Baptist Missions acts as their supporting agency.
