Praise the Lord, our building project is now complete! We had our first meeting on Sunday, November 19, 2006, during our annual Thanksgiving Day celebration…Wow, what a meeting we had and what a blessing it was!
As you can see from the photos, our construction project is finished, Praise the Lord!
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: Philippians 1:6
Some people have seen our building from the side view and commented, "It looks like half a building." Well, it is half a building! Our project is not yet complete; we have three phases to work through. The currently completed first-phase project was designed to grow with our congregation and the next two phases will never look like we patched them on to our existing structure. When the entire overall project is finished, it will be aesthetically clean and, as the first phase, totally functional.
The renderings of our entire project, present and future, have been posted below.
In September 2008 we began working on
our Phase 2 building project. During that process our economy experienced a
financial emergency. Although we qualify for a secondary loan financing the part
of the construction, the market property values in our area have drastically
dropped as a result of the national economic crisis; now our overall appraisal
value is 20% less than 2 years ago. This negative drop has effected our ability
to borrow the necessary funds, until the market recovers or until we save an
additional $150,000.00. Because our phase 2 plans are still needed to
comfortably fit our growing church membership, we will not be deterred. We will
continue to move forward by saving money toward the project and by remaining
prayerfully patient as we await a nationwide recovery. Continue to be faithful
in your 2008-2009 monthly building pledges. Regular updates concerning this
project will be presented during our weekly Wednesday night prayer
meetings.
